Biography
I am a postdoctoral scholar at the Hybrid Systems Laboratory at UC Santa Cruz, where I work with Professor Ricardo Sanfelice. I develop theoretical tools that bridge mathematical rigor with the demands of real engineering systems. With dynamical systems and control theory I build methods whose guarantees hold up under model error and disturbances.
I work on hybrid dynamical systems, which combine continuous evolution with discrete transitions and overcome topological constraints that no purely continuous or purely discontinuous controller can. In my PhD I developed methods for momentum-based optimization, prescribed-time stability, and high-performance control.
As a postdoctoral scholar I work on contraction and incremental stability for constrained differential inclusions, on geometric and time-varying hybrid systems, and on approximation guarantees for neural hybrid equations. I help mentor two PhD candidates on geometric and stochastic hybrid systems.
